Mr. Schefrin is a graduate of Columbia College (A.B.,1962) and Harvard Law School (LL.B.,1966). He is admitted to practice in Rhode Island (1978), the United States Court of Claims (1998), Massachusetts (1999) and New Jersey (1966, inactive).

He is a Past President of the Rhode Island Trial Lawyers Association. He concentrates in medical malpractice and other catastrophic injury litigation.
